I use a reeflo manta ray. It is pretty loud, but no problem in a fish room. The one I had on my previous tank (a reeflo Marlin) ran trouble free for 8 years.

Reeflo Dart the most quiet pump on the face of the planet! Moves a cht ton of water! Only thing is within 6 months the seal around the shaft leaks. I tried 3 of them over the course of 5 years and they all leaked. Never again. This was years ago perhaps the problem has been resolved. There are numerous threads out on the web about this problem.
