So recently I have been buying the 5 L jugs of red sea reef foundation a B and C for some reason the calcium supplement and the magnesium supplement seem to be crystallizing in large quantities I'm not understanding why this is happening when I shake the jugs it does nothing to dissolve the crystals is there a reason for this or something I can do to prevent it from continuing to happen I feel like I'm losing a lot of money and wasted product

The alk part of two parts frequently precipitates if it gets cold. For Red Sea, that is part B.

The calcium part of a two part should have no such issue, but may have some insolubles in it. Sometimes these are colored and may be iron. For Red Sea this is part A.

The magnesium part might have a little precipitation of calcium sulfate in it, which you can just ignore. For Red Sea this is part C.

Calcium chloride could crystallize with time if concentration is close to saturation point, in this case very large crystals appear on the bottom of jug.

That would be very concentrated, however. Far higher than any equal volume two part system would have. :)

true, from what is on their web site concentration of CaCl2 should be 475 grams per liter (if is dihydrate) ... "1ml will raise the Ca level of 100 liters (25 gal) by 2ppm." which is quite far from saturation point... i would contact RS in this case.
