Reef from Belgium (294 gallons)

yep, that's a piece of my yellow hystrix. During cleaning a piece of the hystrix fell in this coral. After a day the coral was complete white and out of the coral. So this coral "eats" other corals....
What's going on in that picture of the red and blue Acan-looking coral? Is it eating a piece of SPS?!?

got myself a new toy......
Canon 500 D with macrolens : CANON 4657A011 EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM..... have to learn a lot :squigglemouth:

I was hoping for pictures and you didn't disappoint. I'd be worried to death if my Alk was below 7. Gorgeous corals.

Thx Mike. You see, with a Alk below 7 it's possible to have SPS, even growth on them...
But I'll be more happy when it's back on 8.0.

youre tank looks great! haven Off topic question, are there a lot of fish stores in belgium? I spent 2.5 weeks in europe (london, paris and amsterdam) and did not see a fish store anywhere. was just wondereing beacuse I even saw one in Nepal 2 years ago.

thanks !!I know 7 or 8 stores in Belgium... and it's a small country (Reef-Corner , Reefcorals zeeaquarium winkel Poppel are the best). In the Netherlands there are a few more I think.
We also have the possibility to shop in Germany(not so far , approx. 2 ours drive), they also have quit a lot of stores. A great shop in germany is : Joe's KorallenFarmpage
Of course we can shop online , for example : Whitecorals.com - SPS und LPS Korallen Ableger für Meerwasser online kaufen , one of my favorites .

short update, reactor is stabilised now, what a luxury !!
here are some pics :

I was just about to ask where you order from. I order from there as well, but over in my corner it's crazy expensive to ship and it's tough to fill the basket unless you're hovering on the site on Wednesday @ 20:00 +1.

a short update , algea filter up and running !!
