Has anyone used reef hd in there tanks with clams to get rid of bubble algae?
The dose is 4x the regular dose for byropsis so I’m kinda hesitant but I definitely need to use it.

. I’ve only seen that done in one thread and it was unconfirmed as thebop posted once with the claim and never came back. So I’m interested as well.

Yes I’ve used fluconazole in a tank with 2 clams no issue.

Thanks salty. I’ll report back every day with a update. The bubbles are even growing on the clam shell and even on my return pump lol
I need to do it for better or for worse.
Wish me luck:D

So I’ve got pictures of the past 3 weeks
These are all one week apart

Only real side effect that I could see was a lot of my snails died since I have no algae in the tank.

The first picture was the first day of treatment
Second a week later
Third another week later

Dosed 4 pills per 10 gallons
I’ll be doing a water change next week.

What’s your total water vol, Appox?

#reefsquad this is interesting.

I've had snails live a lot longer than that in a QT tank with no algae. Their deaths may be related to the dosing.

Knock on wood, I've avoided BA thus far, but this is interesting information. Curious if others will share similar experiences.

I’m saying it’s food related just because the treatment eliminated all types of algae in my tank. I haven’t had any green film algae in my glass and the gha disappeared from mybtank. Maybe the treatment did affect them but it was mostly ceriths that died

Next week I’ll be doing a water change ( 4 week mark ) adding carbon to the reactor and putting cup back on the skimmer.
