I've spent the last 2+ hours reading nearly every post/thread/review that I can find online. I have found that "screefer" here uses or used it and I'm planning on sending a PM but does anyone have any feedback on this product. I have not found much bad feedback but I can't find anything that has any decent review lasting more than 2-3 weeks.

I like the idea of 4x the removal and easier regeneration.

Presently I use BRS High Capacity GFO and regenerate it with Muriatic Acid but this product on "paper" seems better.....

Curious about real time use.

Thanks for any input!

I actually PM'd screefer and he replied back saying he is still using it and is happy with it.

I'll try and post a pretty detailed review once I receive the product in the event anyone else somewhere down the road is interested.

For those that stumble across this thread, this is the product I'm talking about (it should be here by Sat)

I've not used it, but bear in mind it is just GFO with a polymer coating on it.

That coating may make it less likely to crumble on regeneration (or in use), but I wouldn't assume it has 4x the capacity of the same GFO without a polymer coating. :)

I have used it on and off for a few years. I have no evidence or opinion whether it works better that other GFO. I can say that the particle size is very small and while it does not break down it does work it's way into the end sponges of my reactor quite a bit. It does rinse clean quite a bit easier than Rowaphos.
