I have my Heater set at 80 degrees my itemp is reading 80.1 steady but a coral life digital thermometer is reading 82.6 degrees any thoughts on what to do or which to trust? Should I get a third device and check what it says

Simply calibrate the Reefkeeper! Did you do that?

EDIT TO ADD: I just re-read the OP and now wonder whether you are questioning the temperature reading on the Reefkeeper OR, the difference between what you have your heater set to versus the iTemp reading versus the digital thermometer.

Whatever the case, I would highly suggest you have the Reefkeeper control your temperature. The heater will eventually fail and a "stuck-on" failure will be protected by the Reefkeeper.

get a glass thermometer to double check with. Those coralife is not accurate.I went through the same thing with mine.My coralife was reading 4 degree difference then my Itemp probe.

I calibrated mine with three different thermometers just to get a good feel for how close they were to each other. All three were within one degree so I just picked the middle one to calibrate with.
