Your tank and those pics are inspiring.
My mom is from Bogota (a long time ago). She came to the US with my grandmother who worked as a translator in the UN. They lived in Brooklyn above a Hungarian tailor who spoke no Spanish and my mom spoke no English. Since her mom worked, he walked her to school the first day and used his chalk to mark the curbs so she would know how to get home. My uncle stayed behind in Bogota to finish high school, then upon his arrival signed up for the marines so he could see the world. He didn't see much, but got his electrical engineering degree on the GI bill and ended up traveling the world installing and updating the landing systems at the air force bases around the word.
I love things from Colombia, my family, chicharron and putting a fried egg atop of rice.
I will show my mom your tank pics.
