Does/has anyone had issues with the Reef Keepers? I had to send one of my PC4s back because it was malfunctioning. I just hooked it back up and reset everything back to factory then reprogrammed the whole thing from scratch. The first problem came up last night when I set up my ATO. The PC$ would turn on the Aqualifter with no problem but wouldn't turn it off, even though the PC4 LED showed the channel was off. I moved the Aqualifter to a different channel and it worked fine, it turned on and off as programmed with the float switch. I put a fan on the malfunctioning channel to test the float switch and programming and it worked fine. Then today I wake up and my MH isn't on even though the time is set correctly and the programming has it set to turn on at 10AM and off at 10PM. I turned it on manually and it was fine. Set it back to auto and it turned back off. I just reprogrammed the MH channel and rebooted and am currently waiting for the MH to turn back on after its protection cycle is over. This is getting pretty irritating though. It was fine before I sent the PC4 back and now its all screwy.

The Aqualifter problem will happen on channel 2 or 3, but not on channel 1 or 4. Channels 2 and 3 are solid state triads and they sometimes stick ON with very low power devices. As for the MH issue, how do you have it programmed? If you list off the steps and programming options you did it will help to figure out what might be wrong.

I have never had that issue but have found that the temp probes are horrible...mine was off by -2 degrees

Well that explains the Aqualifter thing. I had no idea. As far as the light its set to auto, MH function, on at 10AM, off at 10PM, default is on. I programmed it through MyReef but after the reboot the programming was set back to default for the MH function and I had to manually reprogram it through the head unit. It has since come back on since the reboot but I don't know if it will actually turn off at 10PM.

Well it looks like it turned off like it was supposed to so I guess it was just a bug or something.

Well everything seems to be working just fine. So not sure what happened but thanks a bunch for the help on the Aqualifter problem.

I replace temp probes about every year or so, the danger was that if I didn't catch it, the temp probe would read the temperature as too low and turn on my heater. Granted this was their RK2 Unit back in the day, but that prompted me to switch over to the Apex system.
