I bought a used reef keeper lite yesterday to play around with since it is my first aquarium controller. I don't know much about these things.

first off, I am wanting to download the software for the computer so I can setup this thing. I am not able to get the website to pull up to access the download link. Would anyone here happen to have the download link?

any other advice about this thing would be great.

Thanks:)

It looks like a lot more people are getting rid of their controllers now that DA has pulled their website. The parent company makes aviation instruments and phased out the reef controller division. I bought a used RKL last year because I only needed minimal control of my system and didn't want to spend too much. Now that the website is gone I don't know where else you can find the software program. The software makes it easier to setup the controller but it can still be done without it using the head unit alone.

so far I've got it downloaded, now to figure out how to get this stuff updated to the newest firmware and programed.
plan to just put my lights on a timer for now and set up the temp/PH probe

I like to keep my tank as simple as possible and bought the used RKL just to do some basic functions, monitor temp and pH and have some fail safes.

I note that there is no longer a DA section on BRS's Controllers list. They still have some Reefkeeper stuff, if you search for it, but apparently, they're giving up on DA... Can't blame them, I did too.

Best of luck with your Reefkeeper. I had none with mine.

did you sell your Reef keeper?

giving it a shot since it was what I thought was a good deal and my first aquarium controller.

ReefKeeper In My opinion is one of the best and easiest to use and program. They never offered the support Apex does. I have the new Apex and both the lite and Elite reefKeepers.
