Hello all. I have a very “unique” tank dimension wise. it is 5ft long x 3ft wide x 4ft tall. I am transitioning from FOWLR to reef and am in the process of making a million different upgrades. I want to do a mixed reef and nothing too complicated to keep, but I was hoping to get a good variety in like leathers, zoas, maybe montipora, goniapora, and so on. my list of corals is not set by any means but I know for a fact my lights will not cut it.
I currently have 3 Fluval Sea Marine 3.0 LED’s on my tank. they kept nice blue lighting that covered my tank while I ran fish only. My question is what lights will I meed to penetrate 4 feet of water to be able to make my tank have corals top to bottom and not just the top foot of my rock work. I will include a photo of my tank so you can get an idea of the height and were the rock work lines up to it. my rock work is subject to change but I dont imagine it increasing in height too much. The right stack of rocks was knocked over by my fish and will be built back up similar to the left stack.
