Please check this out OP.. Not as a convincing to the orbit, but as a base to the levels you will be using. Many of the lights we use, we end up turning down massively as far as led. This is my old system with the breeders. The levels at this point were 70 blue and 40 white. And all the growth was within 6 months.. I was getting extremely solid growth (and you can check out my other vids), and color.. Water parameters of course have to be up also for anything..
Right now I set the orbits are on 40 white and 75 blue(I'm settled with that). I think you really, and these things are bright! I should turn the whites down even more to be honest. This setup is honestly brighter than my photons were at the settings listed above. Probably because of the shallow depth of the tank. You really, unless you just absolutely want to, don't need all that light.. It basically goes to waste... Even with this, I can't see my self cranking it way up. The second fixture made that much of a difference!
And me personally after doing t5 8 and 10 bulb fixtures, I'd never do that again, just because of the bulb replacement cost. Same with halides one you get into nice bulbs and replacing them.. Lol, it gets old very fast..
