The Reef Link I ordered just arrived.

Should I install it now or wait until Ecotech support is available on Monday?

What are the chances of messing something up or is the install process pretty smooth?

Yep, connect to PC, laptop first with USB cable.
Install your WIFI address first and name your Reeflink, from there disconnect the USB and power it up.
Open up ESL (Eco smart live), log in and look for the reeflink in settings.
Do all this in Google Chrome, as Ecotech recommends.

If you have trouble call Ecotech Tech service on Monday and ask for Ryan.

The Reef Link could not make a wireless connection to my wireless router. The Ethernet connection would not connect, I would just get Green, Green, Green, Green, Yellow, Orange lights but no connection. After a number of power cycles I was able to connect the ReefLink via Ethernet.

The firmware upgrade froze while attempting to do it from within the ReefLink Setup program, but I was able to get the firmware updated through ESL.

As of now, I can control the lights if the Reeflink is connected via Ethernet, but still no success connecting the ReefLink wirelessly.

I'll give Ecotech a call Monday.

very easy just follow directions
If everything goes as planned, they might be sufficient. In my opinion they did the bare minimum on installation instructions.

Install your WIFI address first and name your Reeflink, from there disconnect the USB and power it up.

I did not get an option to install a WIFI address or name the ReefLink, hopefully Ecotech will get me squared away Monday.

Did you upload the WIFI address by USB with your computer?
It should turn blue while still connected through your computer after you disconnect and power it up it should find your WIFI.

I did connect the Reef Link to the computer via USB, but am not sure what you mean by "Upload the WIFI address."

If I disconnect the Ethernet connection I get green, green, green, yellow, yellow, orange. (It is blue with an Ethernet connection.)

By the way, thanks for the help.

Update:
Spoke with Ecotech tech support. Updating the Airport Extreme's (router) firmware level to the current release (7.6.4) appears to have corrected the problem.
