Got a used 240 rimless and great looking sump. I will utilize a bean animal drain system.

The predicament is currently have filter sock mounting in my first section. I was looking at modifying the sump but the 1200 won’t even fit in that area.

Below are some pictures of the sump. I do have 2 large center sections. I could install the reefmat in the second section(2nd from right in the pictures), but water would then also back flow into the first compartment. Not sure if that was that big of a deal or not!

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the response! I don’t have the unit in front of me, and I foolishly was going off the top dimensions. My width is 6 and 3/4, length would not be a problem!

Looks like the width of the bottom portion is 8.7". Too big for your filter sock area.

It would be a pretty cool Chaeto reactor style/algae scrubber with some tunzes attached to it. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/ecoc...D=9062&indexName=brs_prod_m2_default_products

I have 3 of these underwater. Provides LOTS of PAR for my chaeto.

Find a way to tumble the Chaeto, like the reefbuilders, and it'd be a cool sump "attraction." :)
