I have a question not sure if anyone has the answer. I was wondering if the hose with the 90 degree angle on the 250 would fit the 500 it would open up space in my sump to be able to have a 90 on there. I have asked Red Sea and they gave me a generic answer. I would have bought one if they had them in stock to try since it’s only 12 bucks from brs. Has anyone tried this yet. I’m thinking it might since they are sold out lol.

Thanks and happy reefing!

Haha anyone. I know I’m not alone in this.

For those like me still googling this - the answer I got from Red Sea was a straight no. The connectors on the 250 are different to those on the 500 and 1200. It’s a pity.

Could you share how you made yours, bc I sure need one my WB sump says it will fit a fleece roller and it will fit, just not with the stock hose. Thanks for any help.

What all are you working with. I added a gate valve and with a union 1" pipe to a 90 and used one of the fittings it came with. it was all pretty easy. I believe there's pictures in my build thread.

I have a waterbox 4820, 32mm standard but I have things I can use to convert to 1". Info I need is what size union, 90, etc. Im wondering if a street 90 elbow could fit in the thing, it looks like you have a lot more space than I do in your sump. Any details on the sizes you used and what you used would be great. Thanks again.

I purchased 1" elbows of all types, unions, small pieces of pipe, etc and had no luck. I couldn't find anyone on here that actually wrote down or knew what they used in similiar circumstances, let alone my specific sump. So I have tossed it to the side for now and am using another one while I tinker with it when I can as I have 2 other builds going on as well as a tear down. The closest I came to getting something to make it fit in that small area of my sump so far has been using a 3/4” Schedule 80 90° Elbow Slip x Spigot (Street) and I am still short about 1/4" and it doesn't fit perfect inside the intake tube from Red Sea.

I had a similar fit issue and just ended up cutting a hole in the baffle since those 2 chambers have the same water level anyways and the baffle is just to there to reduce bubbles going into the second chamber.
