I’m about to change roll for the first time do I need to turn the Reef Mat off or do I just change it and go to the app and click on new roll

Do I initiate new roll before or after I put in the new roll

Put in the new roll and then hit the button for initiate new roll. The unit won’t advance while you’re changing the roll since the water level will be lower than the sensor during the changeover.
