Hello All. I am new to the hobby. I have a reef mat 500 that had set idle in my tank for a few weeks due to electrical issues. I restarted everything today and the reef mar is making so much noise due to water pouring out of the sides. Any suggestions on what to do?

Take the pipe off and try to reinsert as there may be air within the red tube. If not, allow the unit to fill up assuming its in the proper level of water and turn pump on again to emit an air present.

How do I know if it’s in the proper level of water? I am wondering if that is the issue. I cannot find any info on the water level. Thanks!!

Welcome to the party, it's a great place to be! There's a ton of great people and information here! Be sure to start a build thread!

Also make sure it is set to the correct orientation in the app for your system. As others have said, also the sensor could be installed wrong or came loose.

This happened with my 1200 when I first set up the tank. It also happens (briefly) every time I blow off my rocks.

I solved it by simply adjusting (as in reducing) the amount of water coming through my overflow. Once I reduced the flow, it stopped spilling over the sides and hasn’t been a problem since.

Try that and see if it works for you.
