Hello!
I have finally taken the plunge (gradually lol) into a reef tank. I am very excited but taking my time as a reef tank and a communal marine tank are two different animals to say the least.
I keep seeing different statements on the internet saying air bubbles in your reef tank is not a good thing. Then others saying its all BS. If they are bad why? PH?

Thank you!

Welcome to R2R!
Air bubbles in your tank are inevitable but not anything to be overly concerned about. It's more of aesthetics than anything else. They also can get algae growing over them and become unsightly. We like our tanks to be crystal clear and bubbles interfere with them appearing as such. As for major concerns, I know of none that negatively effect out tanks.
