Hey guys, recently I have been seeing a lot of people use reef nutrition bottled feasts. I have never used anything from reef nutrition except phyto. For my fish i use a variety of frozen foods which usually cost anywhere from $6-$10 per sheet. The reef nutrition bottled feast cost over 20 at my lfs. Is there any benefit using the reef nutrition foods over frozen or vice versa?

I would be interested to know, I feed a ton of random food, but no local store that carries it, would be an hour drive which is fine as long as it is better in a measurable way.

Petco sells live Copepods. That's right. Quite a few bottles on hand. NUTRAMAR.

Live food is great, and probably the most nutricious option, but that bottle of pods will probably feed a single fish for a day...so not exactly feasible cost-wise as a regular feed source.

IME the reef nutrition liquid foods are very good nutrition-wise and fish love it (usually more than other prepared foods) but it does increase phos more than frozen options.

Anything Reed Maricultre is great quality

I’ve seen the Reef Nutrition stuff too, and thought I’d give it a try some day. Pretty expensive, though. Seems like most of it is designed for corals and other filter feeders. The Mysis Feast would be good for fish but is twice the cost of the other types. Might be good additives to some DIY frozen food?
