How often do we feed? How much? Target or Broadcast? Does it have phosphate issues? I'm having 120 gallon... quite a lot of fish and corals...
Thanks for posting your questions here. I also want to thank those that chimed in.
Most of our customers broadcast feed Oyster-Feast every day. Our lowest recommended dose is 1 TSP per 100 gallons per day. You can increase the dose over time as your animals grow and adjust. Those that target feed will follow the instructions on the bottle. You can even mix it with the other powdered products you mentioned.
Any food added to an aquarium will add phosphates. If you feed appropriately, continue to monitor parameters and have adequate waste export methods, you will be successful.
Since you have such a large system, I would recommend our 32 oz. Oyster-Feast. This volume will be the most economical for you. If you were to feed this product every day at the lowest recommended dose, it would take you a little over 5 months to go through the entire bottle.
To add to this, many of our customers that target feed LPS corals will soak TDO Small (pellets) in some diluted Oyster-Feast. This dry food, TDO, is amazing for growth and color for not only fish, but corals, as well. Here is a video of a coral consuming TDO pellets.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Chad
