Reef Octo 110INT going crazy

So I have used this skimmer in this sump no problem for months. I turned it off as I added a tang and was treating the DT with herbtana. Now that I plugged the skimmer back on it’s over skimming even with the valve all the way shut- filling up a cup within 30 seconds.
The water level in the sump itself hasn’t changed over the week it’s been off and I didn’t move it. What in the world could be going on? Did the tank just get that dirty in a week???

I've had my skimmer go crazy after adding certain additives before. I believe Chemiclean was one of those.

In my case I was able to turn it down enough so the skimming was very wet, but not overflowing like crazy. And with time, it subsided.

I have several RO skimmers, but not the 110. Maybe someone running one will chime in.
