Reef Octo 150SS NOISE Please Help

Any tips on reducing the noise on a Reef Octo 150SS Skimmer ? There is an air hole that is making a pretty loud rumble. When I put my finger gently over the hole, then the skimmer is silent... but I'm sure that is going to affect the skimmer's performance.

Any tips??

I assume you have the "silencer" on it. There is a huge sucking noise on these.

Don't know what the silencer is or looks like. This is my first real tank.. (sump and skimmer)

Thanks, I'll look to find a silencer, it does not have one on it.

The silencer is a clear plastic canister on the end of the air intake
