So I have a 300EXT hooked up to my system. Its been running for close to 4 months now and working great and pulling out lots of stuff. My issue is that there is a TON of micro bubbles coming out of the output of the skimmer. I have it going into a filter sock so that helps.

On this skimmer there is an anti-siphon tower on the output pipe. I have noticed that if I plug that anti-siphon hole it dramatically decreases the amount of bubbles being thrown out. Is there a reason to not run this skimmer at a full siphon? Will that decrease its effectiveness due to how fast the water is moving through it?

thanks

I have a 250ext run mine in filter sock also . My return goes in sump in middle chamber then have foam pad between chamber to return pump , it takes care of any micro bubbles
When running with anti syphon closed you would be lowering your contact time to pull out waste
