Did any of you guys have a problem with your Reef Octo producing bubble at first?I seem to be,I think its kinda odd,but Im not a skimmer expert, any onw got any ideas?

Thanks

I have a reef octo nw250 on my 180 gallon system, when i first got it it produced bubbles for 1.5-2 days then kicked in and has been fine ever since

Ya,the thing is mine has more water in the chamber that bubbles,I have very little buble density IMO.

ahhh i mis read ur statement........in that case no ive never ever had a problem with it PRODUCING bubbles....opps sorry about that

do you have the air line connected to the pump? and is the line out of the water?

No,Im running it in salt water.

LOL,why would I run it in fresh water....LOL,jk

What reef octo is it, what water depth is it in.............and you'd be surprised how many people call and say there skimmer isn't producing bubbles and its always because there running it in FW : )

I belive it is the NWB 110.I have it running at a depth of about 6-8~~ inches.

And Ya its in SW for sure,or my clowns wouldnt be alive!

If its used, pull out the venturi and make sure its cleaned of salt creep in the air venturi. If its a recirc make sure the rubber gasket by the venturi isn't blocking the air venturi.

Nope not used at all brand new.

And nothing is blocking the venturi that I can see,I even took th epump out and I didnt see anything.
