Reef Octopus 110s with Neck Cleaner

I just purchased the pair and I was really surprised that the 110s collection cup does not have a drain.

I am not sure if there is a way to mod the collection up to put in a drain out of the side (drill it?) or if there is an alternative cup or something. Does anyone use these things together?

Links would be great if available.

I do have access to a large amount of tools (machine shop), but I've never drilled a thin round acrylic cup before.
