Just bought this skimmer and it keeps overflowing the collection cup even with the valve all the way open?

Lower the water level or raise skimmer on a stand. After some break in time you may be able to lower it.

It took mine about 1/12 weeks to break in..what you are going thru is normal. It will be fine once broken in
