Reef octopus skimmer not making alot of micro bubbles unless I put my finger over the air intake

when you put your finger on the air hose, it actually stops any air getting into the pump, so that would cause less bubbles, but it would cause the water height to raise the water level. check your airline for holes or clogs.

Yes the water level rises.Wondering if impeller is worn

you ever figure out what was wrong i have the same problem

Id remove the pump and impellar. Clean and replace. Make sure its all hooked up right and try again.
