I have a 120 gallon 48x24 oceanic tank. Just bought a Trigger Emerald 34 sump. Going to running a fuge in the second compartment. My question is would the skimmer be to big for the tank ? I don't want to over skim or my cycle to fluctuate. I want to over a mix reef with prominent SPS, plus medium bioload fish.
What is a good Spacing for the skimmer pump to suction the water. (How many inches away from the wall) I know the Emerald Sump will have a tight squeeze for the skimmer.
