Long story short, I re-purposed this skimmer (Reef Octopus BH-1000) from an old tank and plan to throw it on my sump for a new tank until I can afford a nice skimmer. The problem is that the skimmer is taller than the sump and the pipes will not reach the water. My thought is to secure the skimmer against the wall of my stand and lengthen the pipes so that they reach the water. For reference, I am thinking of extending "n: pipe" and "k: Water Intlet B".
I have seen people post similar projects elsewhere, but they are all several years old. I know the pipes are metric sized, but I cannot for the life of me figure out their exact size. I am hoping someone has had a similar project replacing the pipes and might know the sizes off hand. Any help would be much appreciated.
