Reef octopus bh90 hob skimmer

I was wondering how I can run a airline outside off of the skimmer since the pump sits on the outside of the tank and the air silencer has big tubing on it and the connection on the pump is big also. Most silencers have little connectors I'm pretty sure from what I've seen. I tryed to look on YouTube but they don't have my type of skimmer on there in the way of hooking this up. Can anyone help me out with this here's some pictures of my skimmer.

This is your silencer. You may be able to find a hose that will connect to the unused suction

A better option may be to completely replace the air line with a new longer one that runs to the outside. You don't need a silencer for the air inlet since the suction noise will take place outside.

Yeah that's what I want to do is run it outside but I didn't know that I could remove the silencer. So I'll just run a bunch of tubing from the pump outside then if that's best.

Yup. The silencer is only there to help prevent the air whistling sound. You can put it on the outside line if you want, but it isn't needed.

Thanks everyone. Just trying to raise my ph a little bit that's all because I can't get it no more than 7.8 and that's at night with my h80 light on and I have a h380 but it was burning my chaeto because my sump isn't big enough for that bright of a light!!

Ok thanks this is what I'm gonna do because I do have a sump now but I gotta buy a in sump skimmer but I had this skimmer on my last tank so for right now I'm using this skimmer

A direct airline to the skimmer should do it.

If it doesn't, or you have problems running the line (it can cause temperature issues) you may want to consider dosing Kalk. It takes an automatic doser and you need to have some alkalinity demand, but I dose kalk 70 times a day to take advantage of the pH boost.

I'll have to watch the temperature but I don't have big enough corals for them to consume stuff yet so I'm not dosing anything in the tank as of right now so I just started my reef tank a little over a year ago but I had other tanks before this reef tank with just fish in those and right now I have 3 tanks going
