Reef Octopus break in

I just put a new 150 space saver in my sump and noticed there are tons of bubbles coming out from underneath the black base part of it. Is that normal?

It is in about 8.5 inches of water.

Is the base and chaber base screwed together properly? Theres 4 screws that hold the base on, if there not snug it could do this. My 110SS never did this.

Thanks! Double checked the screws - all were good. It looks like the intake adapter wasn't on all the way and the bubbles were coming out from the cord cut out.
