Reef octopus classic 200-int

Thinking of using this skimmer for my setup. Does anyone have any experience good or bad?

Looking for very reliable.

Not dead silent but somewhat quiet.

Energy efficient.

Keeping my 125 gallon mixed reef clean.

Back to your question; I have that skimmer and it is great! I have many tangs in a 200. Although the neck is a little large for a 125.

I’ve had it for a year and it has always been near silent.

Sorry for my ignorance but i am not sure what you mean by the neck being large for my 125 gallon. If it helps i also have a 40 gallon sump. Will this not work well with my setup? I ordered it and just want to make sure it will work well and be well paired.

Iys a goood skimmer and as long as you use the intake silencer its pretty quiet.

What water level height are you running it at ???

I believe I'm running at 8"

Ok thanks . I have the 200 and just started it on a new tank. Running at 8.5 inches. May lower it to 8 now .

Yeah you will have to play with it a bit to figure out what water level you want it. Make sure to inpect and clean the volute every month as well as the air intake to keep it working at optimum levels.
