Hi there - i just purchased a CR100 after my Vertex calcium reactor's pump went and the struggle to reach someone at vertex (still none), was enough for me to never use it again. Anyway, this reactor is a bit different from the vertex. I am using the Kamoer pump to pull water through which is fine and working, but there is a little valve (pictured) for air to the pump i believe. Instructions say to purge the reactor of air for 2 hours, but they dont say if i'm to open that valve or keep it closed during this time. Does anyone know what i should be doing, and or recommend doing?

Thank you!
Artie

Is that a pressure relief for start up? Just guessing.

When i open it, more air comes in so the reactor gets louder with swooshing sounds, just not sure if i'm supposed to open that or keep it closed?

Before you get it running would you be able to take a picture of the pump intake with the union off?
Thanks

It's currently running, I have the valve a few turns out at the moment.
