Got a question about Reef Octopus DC pump. I've been trying to set up the float switch and if the switch is in the lower position the farthest away from the cables the pump will work if the float switch is up closest to the cables it will turn off. Is this a normal thing. I was emailing their support and they said I have to flip the switch upside down to get it to work.

Yes, take the retaining clip off the float switch, flip the floaty white thing upside down and reinstall it and the clip and then the float will change from normally open to normally closed. Or at least that is how mine work, and I had a reef octopus pump and it looked the same. Hope that helps.

I’m going to jump on this. I got a ROV4 today. It’s not as strong as I would of thought but it’s super quite.

So I want to use the float in my sump in case my overflow gets clogged. I could put it in my overflow but the stem of the float valve sticks out of tank. How can I put it in my return section and shut off if my tank over flows? Is there a way to do it , if anyone knows.
