I have the Reef Octopus Classic 110, 150, and Essence 130. I really like the smaller footprint of the 130, but the 110 and 150 are easier to dial in. I haven't used the Nyos 120 but I will say that a six month old skimmer is usually no different than new without a warranty. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I can't speak towards NYOS, but they do have good ratings. I can only speak on my Reef Octopus 150SSS and the 250SSS that I have in my tank currently. I feel Reef Octopus underrate their skimmers. I feel they can handle more that what is rated. I had a 150SSS on my 120 gal tank and felt it could work on a 150. I have a 250SSS on my 225 and it is working flawlessly, even when I may have oversized the skimmer. The point is, with Reef Octopus skimmers, the amount of flexibility when dialing it is well worth buying them.

I was using the 130 when I first started my tank. It worked really well and I didnt have to fiddle with the settings too often. I upgraded to the Elite 150sss for the DC motor and also the float sensor on the lid that will shut down the skimmer once the cup gets full.
