Ok I am selling my reef octopus int 200 with brand new psk 1000. I ran it for a week.
Price is 175 local and 200 shipped

My skimmer stopped pulling waste from my tank, and the old pump was having trouble starting. So I bought psk 1000 and it runs great now. Incredibly quite. But for some reason still won't pull anything out of my tank. So I bought a new/ used skimmer and it has been 24 hours and still not pulling anything out. So I am thinking it's not the skimmer that is the issue. Anyway just want to be honest and explain my experience.

When I first put psk pump on it started pulling then stopped a few hours later then never pulled anymore for several days. Old pump wasn't pulling for a few weeks. That video was with the psk 1000 I would say about 8 hours after install

As you can in these pictures both skimmers performing the same. Which is why I think for some reason there is nothing to pull

You have to to let it go through its "Break in" phase. My reef octo and my bubble magus did the exact same thing until about 4-5 days after I put them in my sump. By day 4 or 5 both skimmers where pulling out swamp water lookin skim mate. @Kershaw

Thanks for the info. Either way I have two skimmers now so it's still for sale

It is rated for 200gal on the original pump. The Sicce should be able to handle the 220 no problem. The housing is big enough but the stock pump would have been a little under powered.
