Checked my sump this morning and my skimmer was overflowing badly and a lot of bubbles in the sump. I shut off the skimmer and cleaned the cup out. Right now the valve is all the way open with the pump turned all the way down to prevent it from overflowing. You can adjust the pump on this model, fyi if someone didn't know. Anyone know what the issue could be? Before I had the pump all the way up with the valve not open nearly all the way. Does the pump need cleaned? Its producing a mass amount of bubbles and it seems unusual. Thanks

Do a water change on the tank, clean the skimmer while you are at it, and see if it continues.

Do yourself a favor and box it up and return it. I have this skimmer and have had nothing but trouble with it. I'm at my wits end with Jeremy at CoralVue and all the different things we've tried to get it skimming properly without chugging air. There are also stress fractures in the body that was supposed to be corrected with a body replacement that never shipped. It is not worth your time and effort when you should be enjoying your tank and not fiddling with a skimmer. JP

It's working fine again I think the recent glue I put in my tank set it off. It's working great again. You may have gotten a bad one
