How many people out there using this skimmer cant find any reviews. Pictures would be great any complaints or advise would be great.

I can't find much in the way of reviews but generally speaking RO makes really good skimmers

I've been doing a lot of reading on the elite series skimmers by RO. By the sounds of it these are the newer updated versions. Most have the new DC pump with adjustable pump. I was looking at getting the reef octopus elite 220. But the PRIME is basically the same skimmer just without the new pump.

Yea basically wanted to know about the aquatrance pump. I like the elite but trying to keep price down some figured if I wanted to I can always add a Dc pump later if I wanted.

I hear the new Nyos Quantum skimmers are nice. I'd stay away from the RO aquatrance pumps I've heard mixed reviews and have been told their customer service is in the dump now but this is only chatter I haven't dealt with them or ran their newer pumps. I loved their old skimmer with the sicce or bubble blaster pumps.

Yeah I run a RO with an aqua trace pump. It works... But there is better. I'll be upgrading to the elite series soon. BRS back RO so I've never had problems with service

I've read reviews where the screws on the pump have rusted out along with some internals . I clean mine about every 6 months to maintain it.

Although I can't speak for the elite or prime series I run a RO Classic 110 and haven't had any issues with the pump except for that I break the ceramic shaft on the impeller almost every time I take it apart. However this is the smaller aquatrance pump and it has a much thinner shaft. I've switched from the classic 110INT(internal) to the classic 110EXT(external) and couldn't be happier.

Also check out the regal series. I've seen a few good deals pop on here.
