So I have this older external pump skimmer and the pump has gone bad. Problem is that there are no markings on it to tell me what model it is. Does anyone have any idea on a serial number for a new pump?

BRS should be able to help, or Email Red Octopus. It’s not a very powerful pump

Is that the 150? Or 110? I've replaced mine on a 150 nwb. I can help.

That skimmer looks like a Classic 150. If you can measure the base and the mouth where the collection cup goes in at. I can compare it to a 150 I have when I get home. I also have a few others, so if it is not a 150, I can more then likely tell you what it is. Once we know that a pump is simple.

Edit: I say classic 150, but it would actually be just a 150 if it was one. That style of pump is not used anymore, but one for a classic 150 would work just fine. Again if it is a 150.

I am on a horribly boring conference call, so did some digging for you lol.

Yes Flipper is correct . I have an Aqua trance to replace my pump. (red octo) . Works great. Also the sight says Ya need an adapter fitting . This isn't true. I don't have one. Just screw the pump to the fitting on the skimmer . When empty the skimmer is off balance & want to lean. However once full of water it sits straight . Before ordering call & ask about the adapter fitting .

I love mine. It was a nice upgrade to my 150.

All my old reef octopus have aqua trance pumps at this point and they work great as well.

Edit: Forgot to add that I did not need an adaptor for the pumps. They do lean a little as mentioned when empty, but once water gets in there, it all good.
