Reef octopus skimmer question

Hey everybody.

Hope y’all are enjoying your Memorial Day. So I bought a reef octopus classic 150sss off of a friend the other day. So I’m trying to get it going. When I put the white air tube in the smaller adjustment tube, it stops making bubbles/foam like a skimmer should. Is there something I can do to fix this, or should I just leave the air tube out?

Setting up a skimmer is a chore. So much to adjust. Keep trying and it will work out

It sounds like one of the tubes may have a clog.

Disassemble and give all the parts a thorough cleaning in white vinegar.

Thanks for the great sounding advice. This was what I was planning on doing yesterday, but got busy. I’ll give this a shot when I get home.
