Reef Octopus sss 110 skimmer

Those who have a reef octopus sss-110 skimmer or something similar…the silencer cap has 2 clear pieces of tubing. Are those supposed to be pushed down INSIDE the white air tube or just loosely placed inside the red pvc? I tried to find a video of installation but no luck and just wanting to make sure it’s set up properly. Thanks so much!!

These just go in the red tube not the air inlet.

Anyone use ozone with this skimmer? If so, how did you hook it up?
