After being out of the hobby for a while i have been bitten by the aquatic bug again.. Here lately I have been dying to get back into the hobby and restart my journey into the aquatic world! This past friday me and one of my good friends went on a field trip and i ended up coming home with a reef octopus T-60 setup which included the 32 gallon rimless tank, very nice stand, and the sump. I also ending up getting a mp-10 ! yes, my wallet has been crying since! i worked most of yesterday getting stuff out of storage and getting ready to get this thing filled with water (for the most part). im still deciding if i want to run a separate fuge or not.. What do yall think? Im new to the smaller aquariums and im a little rusty so any advice will be highly appreciated !!!

Awesome, man! Welcome back! We're doing a club meeting at Sustainable Aquatics next month... you should get your tank up and running and grab a pair of clowns while we're there... you'll get to pick from several thousand. Haha!

Where is sustainable aquatics?

They're about 2 hours closer than Johnson City, fortunately. They're in Jefferson City.

That's about a 3 and a half hour drive. Will the clowns be alright for the trip home??? Never carried a fish that far lol

Oh yeah... 3.5 hours is nothing for them... they ship overnight all the time. :) SA will bag them with oxygen, too.

Nice! Sounds like I need to make a trip to 7 seas aquatics and get some salt and start mixing!!!

Definitely! Dr. Tims One and Only is great for helping cycle your tank, too.

This is a good place to start: Bacteria in a Bottle: Snake Oil or Worth Trusting?

I had great success with it. Its worth noting, though, that you will have to follow the insructions for it to work. Specifically, when you add the bacteria, make sure you add it when you add the fish, otherwise the bacteria will not have any food and it will not work.

I'm in Westmoreland (close to gallatin) now but I will still come to the critter and around y'all's area every now and then! Ready to be back in the meeting and involved with the group again!

Just watched that video. Seems like it's good stuff! Will look into it for sure!
