Morning!

I just got my RO V4. It's dead quite, love that. Anyways I have a question on the float switch.

My goal with the switch is if the corner overflow tube gets clogged with something and the tank starts to fill and not return back to sump my float switch will engage and cut the pump power.

I currently have the float switch install up in the overflow area out of the way but it sticks out of the tank about 1 1/2". I dont care for the look.

Is there a way I can install it in my sump? I have a r-200. I don't know how the float really works for my to come up with something, has anyone had experience and have an idea what Im looking for? Im guessing the water in the sump will drop due to the fact is going into the DT and then Ill have the float cut the power.

Let me know your thoughts thanks

Here's a link I read a few months ago when I was pondering hooking up mine. Never did. LOL. If it works well for you I"ll finally hook mine up. LOL

That helps. The trick is the float switch activates when the float gets near the end we’re the cord is. So if I put this in my return maybe that will work. I’ll have to close my gate valve on my overflow and fill the tank to test this

where'd you end up putting the float switch?

I put it on my return section. If the main tank starts to over flow then the return section will drain in water causing the float valve to trip and stop the pump.
