reef octopus varios 6

Hi y’all,

I’m new to the hobby and wanted to get y’alls feedback on this pump.
I’ve never tried any reef octopus products so I’m hoping some of you pros can help a buddy out with info and advice. Thanks

I’m setting up a 120gl DT, w/ 60gl ST. Two 1” returns.

I’m still putting the equipment together so I don’t have any photos to share yet. Thanks in advance y’all.

Reef Octopus makes some quality products, personally I feel their skimmers and pumps like the Varios your asking about are one of the best on the market. The only pump I personally feel is better is the Abyzz but your going to spend $1500.00 for their entry level pump.
The Varios 6 is a good choice for you tank. They are silent and Apex controllable if you choose to get a aquarium controller.

Good choice on a return pump, I have not heard of any problems with them.

I have been using one for a year with no issues. I have a 90 gallon tank. The only maintenance i have done is soak the pump in vinegar.

Can y’all recommend a good LFS do get the pump from? I’m in West Los Angeles. I don’t mind driving to get a deal and good service.
