They can be attached to any skimmer, you run the drain line from the port on your skimmers collection cup to the waste collector, your skimmers pump is plugged into the controlled power supply of the waste collector, when the collector is full it kills the power to your skimmer.

So I have a reef octopus 220 s. The port is the drain plug on the bottom of the cup?
