reef-pi :: An opensource reef tank controller based on Raspberry Pi.

Thank you guys for helping. For the moment i'am using LED's to simulate signal wire to relay. The diodes turn on when i give them direct power from my Raspberry pi. So my wiring ect should ok, maybe i have freid my Raspberry or somthing. how can i see the log file. I also tried to and new output whit different GPIO pins and nothing happens. But strange that my temp probe still is working.

I still believe its something to do with wiring. You can see the log by sshing into Raspberry pi and run `sudo journalctl -fu reef-pi.service` , and click some equipment on/off button in the UI

Strange i did a reload and up and runnig again i also had dev_mode enable and now set it disable and every thing is working

Awesome :-) share some build pics if you can . I love those :0)

This thing is opensource?

I dont believe so, it just made checking if i wired a relay correctly easier than waiting to see if reef-pi turned them on or off lol. Other apps i have are blynk and cayenne.

Not home to connect to cayenne to have an ss of that.
Both are app store ui builders.
I didnt play much with either of them cayanne was easier to use than blynk

@Ranjib it seems as though the devmode button has been a common source of issues. Would it be possible to have it disabled by default, and to go one step further and hide it in an "advanced settings" section?
It doesnt seem like something that will be used very often by most users.

It is disabled by default in 1.0. I can move it out of ui. I’ll see ..

Hopefully going to install this week...Going to use a Fire tablet as a display and mount next to the tank =)
Let me know what resolution it is, I am test the dashboard accordingly. Are you planning to use it only as powerbar, or other features as well

Directly connected to it? Or wirelessly?

Mostly a powerbar, I don't actually use anything that has a controller. Just a heater on a controller and some LEDs.

So funny thing, when my equipment is off, the tab is green. When it's on the tab is blank? Did we switch the "reverse" thing again? I have outlets that NC and NO so which ones should get the "reverse" box checked now?

If you updated from 0.7 , then old settings might be lost. I have not changed the logic recently, the reverse thing work as before :-/, you sure this is not the new ui?

Yep it's the new UI. Right now:

NC relays - Reef Pi shows as on. They are on per the red LED on the relay boards.

NO relays - Reef Pi shows as on. They are off per the red LED on the relay boards.

Examples of the cayenne app.

Yes the temp probe is terrible lol. Its not just reef-pi, if raspberry pi restarts i get a reading of either null or more frequently 32, as shown in picture above, for about an hour.
