These will be glued to the housing or on the pico tanks directly

These are very easy to make using heat shrink paper and mod podge dimensional magic . My printer is pretty bad, hence the color got all blurred :-/

Still , I like the texture (it’s like enamel pins). And I think the imperfections makes it characteristic of any diy project

Just thought I'd show my latest light build. Kessil/T5 hybrid controlled by reef-pi of course! Started life as an Odessa T5/Metal Halide fixture. Gutted the Metal Halide and 3D printed a solution to hold the Kessils added internal power and control wiring for the Kessils. I'm somewhat waiting on the rest of the reef-pi build while I decide on an enclosure.

Whoa . Daylight cycle in this one is done by reef-pi ?
This is a very cool build

can someone help me, ive been following this great project for sometieme and have finally taken the plunge. i have installed reef-pi and checked the health and is running fine. how do i log in to the user interface im stumped?

Ok. You need to have the IP address of the pi. rsimething like 192.168.xxx.xxx
Put that into you browser and press enter. Default user name and password are both reef-pi

Thank you!!! Been sat here for hours trying to work it out your a star!!!

I wonder if there is a way we can improve this. Should I add something in the docs ?
Could be helpful the website was great and very easy to follow. Granted I run two pcs with Linux already the only downside was once the install was complete it say “ now go to your browser to open” perhaps say gonto your browser insert you pi’s ip address?

No criticism meant just was baffled on how to log in

Progress so far. Still waiting on the 12v relays for dosing and the jumper cables to connect the relays to pi. There will be a large fascia plate over the front to make it clean and tidy. A screen at the top and the cut out at the bottom is for my dosing containers

@Ranjib
Like justin said about the “put your pi ip in you web browser will make it a bit more clear for the less technically inclined (like me). But, this system has sparked a bit of fun for me. I am learning about node.js and other programming languages! So I love the challenge!!!!

I’ll update the install guide, I bet others would benefit. Thanks for the inputs

I hope I’ll get some client sdks done this year.nodejs and python bindings will open up reef-pi hacking to a whole new community

Ranjib, thank you very much for this amazing project! I am building my reef-pi with a new pi 3B+, and a Adafruit 16-Channel PWM / Servo HAT (PRODUCT ID: 2327) pca 9685 breakout. I have reef-pi 1.5 loaded, and running. with the temp probe, liquid level sensor and two relays responding as expected. Unfortunately the PWM output is not working. The Adafruit demo simpletest.py works, so I don’t think it’s hardware. Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Can you tell a little bit more about your reef-pi pwm setup. Things like jack configurations, light configuration, and reef-pi log for the error ?

Yes please, an updated start up guide to get going would be a big help for newcomers like me, I'm just starting out on this myself, wanting to build one to take on my mars aqua lights and other bits of I can get my head around it all.

I have a jack (J0) configured to pin zero (0), and the a light configured to J0. When I put the slider to 100%, there is no output from the pwm zero outputs
