Hi Salt Junky.

I am not understanding the damage that you have on your light. One corner bent - and it got into paint some? Was it like this when you opened the box? Let me know exactly what is wrong - a picture sent to [email protected] would be great. Don't think nothing will be done - that is not how we work. That said - we cant fix a problem unless we know about it. Did you send in a service request on our site? If you did- what date did you send it in?

Rick

And to take this a step further - if you are due a DM-5e and it is taking a while - shoot me a an email directly to [email protected]. This applies to anyone that is due a product - paid for - or as a freebie when you buy a light.

And yes it is entirely possible that someone might have been missed in the move - not making excuses - but it has been rather protracted - but we are in California and are catching up quickly.

You can always email me directly at [email protected] with any concerns.

We are a small company and we truly care about each and every one of our customers. Lol - that is why it is almost midnight and I am answering emails right now. And probably will be for hours - as I want to make sure that everyone is treated with the type of customer service that I expect from us every day.

Rick

Saltjunky. I am reading this post after I responded to your later post. I have never told a customer that nothing will be done with a damaged light and I did not tell you this. That is not how we treat our customers. I would invite you to post the email from me saying anything like this. I would never send an email like that or treat a customer like that.

Please post it for everyone to see.

Rick

You never said it out right it was after I emailed u three hours after opening it and finding the wire nut I sent an email back two minutes later about the damage on the outside and it was never answered I was told I could have open it and fix it and FedEx and must have been rough I am sorry I was upset set for getting alight that had damage after waiting for three and a half weeks I thought nothing would be done when I had no reply I could have worded it differently

Hi Orbela,

We look at every order the day it comes in. You ordered 8 days - on the 14th - and your lights ( both of them ) went out today and you will have them on Thursday according to fedex. So from the day you ordered until the day you receive them will be 10 days.

In the middle of a cross country move - I think that is not too bad.

We do manufacture our lights - not sure what makes you think we don't - but we most definitely do. We design each and every light that we sell and have them built in China to our specifications (exactly the same as any other American manufacturer does ) then have them shipped to us - where each and every light is inspected and if it is perfect it is sent out.

We care very much about every light we build and sell and it shows clearly by the amazing reviews on this forum - now over 1100 posts - but we are finishing up moving the entire company at the same time as shipping lights as fast as possible - I think we are doing a pretty good job - all things considered.

When you get you light and your free refugium light - let me know what you think - I think you will see that waiting 10 days from order to receipt aint too bad and worth it.

Rick

Saltjunky, I totally understand - send me some pictures please. I do care very much about you receiving a light that should be perfect. We will get you taken care of - I know how much it sucks that you wait for a cool new toy and it is not perfect.

Send them directly to me at rick@reefradiance.com.

Rick

Hey - guys like I said earlier - we are catching up - slower than I would like - but shoot me a direct email to rick@reefradiance and I will get right back to you with the scoop on where you light is.

Rick

I have been giving the give away contest some serious thought.

I will announce how it will work later this week.

I have gotten some great suggestions form you all - and some PMs as well with some great ideas.

Stay tuned!!!!

Wow, NanaReefer - that is very kind.

As a hobbyist, I understand how no one like to wait for new toys and this makes it easier to understand how people then sometimes vent their frustrations on line. The funny thing is - whenever I contact people who might post about being concerned about something with getting their product - generally they are very nice and are more than willing to work with us to handle anything that needs to be handled. We are not perfect but I really believe that the mark of a great company is not they never have issues with customers - that company does not exist - but a great company is one that deals with their customers in a direct and honest fashion to resolve anything that comes up.

And that is our goal at Reef Radiance - we know that mistakes are inevitable - but we take what we do seriously and will never quit on trying to make sure - in the end - that EVERY customer is happy.

Yup!! True Reefradiance does provide great customer service. Answered all my questions. And we do vent on the forums but mostly in a constructive manner. I'm receiving my lights tomorrow. Glad Reefradiance moved california only two day shipping wait.

I'm pretty excited about them being an hour from me, I'll drive down and pick mine up when I order them, instant gratification combined with shaking rocks hand.

Really enjoying the 3 120's on our 155 bowfront. No problems so far. Corals are still getting used to the leds. I am running them at a max of 30white-50blue right now. Is that too much or should I increase it. They have been on the tank for about 3 weeks.

If you think this is a good light check out the Lumentek Pro 180 WOW! Thats a great light which is going over my 60g Edge soon.
