Reef Radiance led light..OMG..What a light....

That would actually work great for me until we sell our Oregon house and buy one in Kansas. ..I'll have to see if I can figure out how to do that. Thanks!

I am trying to decide what to go with. On my 36" x 18" x 24" 65g tank do you think a Lumentek Pro 180 mounted using your tank rim mounts would give enough coverage? Or would I need go with the Lumentek Pro 240? Also, my tank has a cross brace. Would I be looking at a large shadow or are the optics such that I would not really notice it.

Basically I am looking at three options...all would be using your mounting equipment.

2 x DM-155e @ $419
1 x Lumentek Pro 180 @ $378
1 x Lumentek Pro 240 @ $478

With a cross brace - I would suggest you mount it higher than the mount kit will allow. We rarely have any shadowing from braces - but would rather not chance it. Or you can buy the mounting kit and it is does not meet your requirements - then you can ship it back within 7 days and we will refund your purchase price. I would go with the 240 for the additional wattage. We just upgraded the entire LUMENTEK PRO series with new optics - pretty cool actually - and they will cover your tank ever better than before! Rick

I am a diehard t5 girl. ..but I have been looking into leds for some time now. ..I am just about to pull the plug and order the DM 155e, but want to make sure that 1 will be enough for my 34 gallon. ..30 x 18 x 16 . in reality the depth from bottom to the black trim is more like 13 1/2 though. Since I have used t5s forever do you all think I will be happy changing to leds? I mostly keep LPS, zoos, etc. ..have kept SPS in the past with my t5s too. Love the fact that this light has added some 120 optics to some of the bulbs and from reading this entire thread it seems that Rick is an awesome person to buy from and it is on special right now too. ..I'd love to hear from any other diehard t5 people that have gone to leds. Thanks!

Hi jennmac415 - the DM-155e will cover this tank and we just upgraded the optics - take a look on the site - you will be able to grow anything you put in it.

And yes it is on special right now and until the end of the month you get free DM-3e refuge light with each of these lights purchased!

Rick

Thanks Rick. I actually called and spoke with you on Saturday. Over the weekend I ordered the Lumentek 240 and mounting kit. I am going to give it a shot and hope for no shadowing from the cross brace. If I do see a shadow from the cross brace I will have to figure something out.

well guys i finally pulled the trigger and ordered 2 lumentek 240s for the tank so the last thing i got to get to set up is the skimmer

Rick got my wp40 you sent me. Wow that pump rocks makes me wonder why anyone would pay four to six times what they cost. For those fancy ones that break all the time. I had it in my tank with in 10min of FedEx dropping it off. I'm glad to own one.

Also update on my personal 155e's currently running at 35 whites and 40 blues channels.corals are growing and look good with lighting. I took some photos and have them on page 8 of my tank thread.

I ordered my 155e the other day. ..can't waitbto get it. I'm going to have a look at your pics, joekool. ...how high from the water surface do you have them?

Follow link in my signature. Or go to 180 plus tank threads. Mine is the net 250 one.

I believe they are 11 inches from water.

You'll love the entire unit. Housing looks great, LED screen and the arrangement of the full spectrum bulbs. I had my 240 on the new coffee table to play around with the modes and dawn to duck times etc. I left them on one night at 50% power to watch the cycle for several hours while watching the ****-tube. In the morning, the table had little bulb crop circles burnt into the wood ! lol
Wife didn't think it was so funny ! lol

I am really stoked about getting my Lumentek 240, but this wait is going to be a killer. It has not even been a week... :(

I usually have no patience. But I knew I had a 1 to 3 week wait for my Lumentek 120, so I was mentally prepared. But tomorrow will be 3 weeks and I haven't heard a peep! I'm starting to get antsy!

No worries, he gets very busy, so give him a call or email. You can trust Rick immensely.

Haha, that is too funny. Everyone says great things about the light, that is probably why I am so ready to get it in my hot little hands...lol
