If anyone is concerned with sunny mode coming on unexpectedly. Program sunny mode to a low % setting and your corals won't get damaged.

Has Rick addressed any of these issues? I know the cost of these lights are lower then most. But are you guys settling for what you paid for?? This is making me nervous! I've yet to set up my LumenTek Pro 180 and am now worried because these will be my ONLY option for lighting on my new build. It's actually still in the box.

So far I'm reading fast/slow clock?
Sunny Mode coming on by itself?

Hi NanaReefer,

Lol - I can assure you that aquarium hobbyists are a very vocal lot and not apt to settle for much. I addressed this before on this forum. In about 1.5% of the LUMENTEK line we see these two issues occur - the clock changes time and on occasion will change modes. The factory is working on an upgrade to correct this two issues now and I expect soon to have a newer controller that will correct these two issues. When they have it completed - we will post it on this forum and let all of our customers who have this issue know that a new controller is available and we can ship out the new controller for the customer to replace - or the light can be shipped in for us to fix.

I read this and other forums every day. I need - and want - to know what hobbyists think. Even if it is something I might not want to hear - I can only get better at what I do by paying close attention to what others say about not just my products but almost anything. I am always looking for what people might want or need for their tank and sometimes it results in a new product from Reef Radiance. Or a better way to manufacture the ones we already have.

Or sometimes the posts make me laugh and that is a great break from a crazy schedule.

Okay Rick, I'll bite....I want an inexpensive LED fixture that I can control with an Apex or Reef Angel without having to open the unit and void the warranty.

It seems to me that the units' controllers are the source of most issues and avoiding having to use them would be awesome!

I also want a fully restored 1963 Corvette for what it cost when new. Because I am so agreeable I will take which ever one of these two things is easiest for you.

Any one here purchase the new model Dm-132e? friend of mine just got it in after i referred him to reef radiance after i purchased my Dm-155s and his Dm-132e fixture seems to have the color layout wrong or something. there is way more blue on the right then the left. when all lights are on , half his tank is blue the other half is white. Rick is this normal?

I am assuming this is Enrique?

Emailed him yesterday and he is a happy clam.

He purchased the 2014 version of the DM-132e and it has a different layout than the old one - part of the change for 2014.

just upped my light 60%b 50% w on peak thought my tank was having issues from not enough light and found 59 vac in the tank from a flow fan all my corals came back except my frog spawn he took a hard hit

It has been a while since I got my reef radiance light, so I thought I would post how they are doing for me. All I can say is wow...just wow. I have the DM 155e. I have it sitting above a 20 long, and it lights it up very nicely. I love how my corals have exploded in my tank since I put it on. For instance, my hairy mushroom has at least doubled in size. My wife did not like the light at first,(because it is hanging, she wants it mounted above the tank) but now she cannot argue how they have helped in the tank. She even likes it now, and always talks good about it when people ask.
I will be upgrading my tank here shortly and I will have to get a second light to put above a 75gal, as well as brackets to mount them to the top of the tank. Or do I want a programmable one that would cover the tank? Hehe decisions...decisions.

Does anyone near Dallas Tx own a lumentek 240 that would be willing to let me come by and see their tank. I really want to make the switch, but I'm just too hesitant because I've had metal halides for so long.

Make a mount out of PVC I did just need to paint it
