Incase some of you guys wanna check out our 40gallon breeder running Ricks Dm-155e.
Everythings thriving!:bigsmile:

Got these acans with only two heads exactly 18 days ago , look at the heads sprouting out. They were under halides before and werent getting this kinda growth.

Thanks for the post. Like I tell people who post on the forums - it is much easier if you call or email me directly - then I can help you fix anything or advice you on anything. At the end of the day - we are all hobbyists - and want the same thing - cool lights over our tanks.

I am currently running blues at 68percent and whites at 35percent. hanging 14 inches above the water.

Ok my levels are all great I'm running leds but yet nothing is growing like it should. WHY WHY WHY PLEASE ADVISE DO I NEED CHEMICALS IN MY WATER? I NEVER HAVE USED CHEMICHALS IN MY WATER

at may be the Issue coral need minerals and adding them is the only way think of plants what happens wen you add fertilizer to the pot of flowers your tank is a pot and the ocean is the forest

No. Maybe,......if you have a lot of SPS's, and even then most corals will be just fine with water changes and a few normal reef additives like, calcium chloride or kalkwasser, strontium. Have to be careful as you can feed algae's.
High quality and powerful lighting and water movement is a must, for LPS's and SPS's. Softies, leathers etc, can have less light.

I was able to reach Rick by email. We discussed the issue I was having with my Lumentek 120, and Rick is going to send me a beta controller to try out. I'll post updates when I get the new controller.

The two issues I'm having are the controller leaving program mode and going into other modes, usually "sunny" mode, but last week it went into "moonlight" mode too. And I'm gaining time on the clock, a few minutes every week. Hopefully the new controller will correct this.

I also raised concerns about the preview mode scrolling through each time/intensity change, but the LED's don't come on. Rick said it was normal for the LED's to stay off during preview mode.

It was pretty easy to replace a defective controller with a new one. The only problem is that the new one does not work well, either. The clock on the old controller stopped advancing. The new one has a good clock, but it forgets all the setting after a power outage and goes back to the factory default. The channel 1 and channel 2 are also reversed between 20:00 and 10:00 or so. I can switch the settings for that time period, but I do not like to reset all these time settings every time there is a power failure. I am afraid that I need a new controller again. I hope Rick responds soon. It's been 10 days since I sent him an email about it.
